Syaratnya diisi dengan yang sejajar atau sejenis, misal noun maka dengan noun pula, misal adjective  maka harus dengan adjective pula, dll

Contoh:

   1.     The boy is handsome, diligent, smart, and rich (adjective/ kata sifat)

   2.     Do you like coffee or tea? (noun/kata benda)

Bentuk lain dari Parallel Structure, sebagai berikut:

   a.     Both. . . . . . and . . . . . .

   b.     Not only . . . . . . But also . . . . . .

   c.      Neither . . . . . Nor . . . . . . .

   d.     Either . . . . .  Or . . . . . . .
